Collective Worship

Collective Worship

Every day the children meet together for worship. This is a time when we gather as a school family to learn, praise, sing and engage in prayer. This is an important part of our school day. Worship is led by children, staff and clergy and on a Thursday morning we hold ‘Family Worship’ when friends and family can join us in worship.

During Collective Worship we explore Christian Values and themes from the Bible. We explore values such as compassion, forgiveness, service, humility, hope, wisdom, thankfulness, respect and reverence, but most of all, we focus on God’s message of love.

During worship the children are invited to join in prayer, either sung or said and the children’s worship through singing is truly breath taking.

Every term a Eucharist (Communion) Service is held in school. This is led by a member of clergy and the children. It is a very a special time for our school family and we are joined by parents and parishioners.

The school holds special services in the Saltash Churches of St Stephen’s and  SS Nicholas  and Faith. The Harvest Festival, Christingle and Leavers' Service are held at St Stephen's. Every two years the whole of KS2 perform a Passion Play at SS Nicholas  and Faith. The church is always full for this emotional and Spirit-led occasion. The children regularly sing at parish events such as the Nine Lessons and Carols and the Women’s World Day of Prayer.
